ELAU PacDrive Max4 Controller
The PacDrive Max4 Controller is one of the oldest controller solutions from ELAU PacDrive product range. The ELAU Max4 controller comes in 2 different versions: one which can control up to 8 MC4 drives, the other can control up to a maximum of 99 ELAU MC4 drives. It uses real-time operating system VxWorks where VxWorks is responsible for logic and motion functions for a production or packaging machine. A PacDrive Controller synchronises, co-ordinates and generates the positioning functions for up to 8 servo drives which are connected via the SERCOS bus interface.
Several standardised field bus interfaces are available: PROFIBUS DP, CAN, CAN‐ open or DeviceNet. A variety of standard HMI systems, ranging from low-cost text displays to industrial PCs, can be used for the HMI functions.
