ELAU PacDrive SB motors
The highly dynamic synchronous AC servo motors of ELAU’s SB series are permanently excited synchronous machines designed especially for highly dynamic positioning tasks. The low moment of inertia compared with other AC servo motors in combination with the high overload tolerance not only guarantees excellent acceleration values, but also reduces energy consumption and stray heat of the motor. The torque is generated by the stator coil fed by a sinusoidal threephase current system in combination with the magnetic field excited by the rotor magnets. The generation of the rotary current system depends on the rotor position in the digital motor controller or the positioning motor controller. For that purpose, the rotor position is monitored by a resolver.

ELAU PacDrive SM motors
The SM series of AC servo motors combine flexibility with a high level of precision. All models are equipped with high resolution encoders providing one million steps per revolution. The motors, which are equipped with electronic name plates and come in three flange sizes and various stack lenghts, cover a holding torque of 1.1 to 5.7Nm.
ELAU PacDrive SH motors
The AC servo motors of the SH series meet the highest demands on dynamics and precision. Five flange sizes with different grades of torque offer the right drive solution for virtually any application. New winding technology with single tooth winding enables compact sizes and reduces production costs compared to traditional motors. Due to its low moment of inertia compared to other AC servo motors, and in conjunction with the high overload capability, the SH motor meets all requirements in terms of accuracy, dynamics and profitability.
